10 Recurring Revenue Ideas that You Can Sell Inside Your MV Account

I've had some interesting email replies this week from people who HAVE run memberships in the past and *HATED* it, or don't need to TRY offering a membership to know they'd hate it. 😂

AKA they want recurring revenue, but they're definitely not on board with the typical membership model. And I get it! I'm not really a fan either. It makes me feel  itchy, twitchy and trapped to think about a traditional membership model.

Running MemberVault isn't *far* off that model, but it's far enough to be something I love...instead of something that makes me run screaming into the sunset. 🌅

IMHO, having a business you love is directly related to finding OFFERS that you love.

If you DON'T want to run a classic membership model, this is your brainstorm for some alternatives for recurring revenue.

Let's recap this - in my opinion recurring revenue (aka a paid offer with repeat payments, without an end date) doesn't always have to be a membership with calls, content and a community. In fact, I think a lot of consumers are just as overwhelmed and disenchanted with that model as creators are.

Here are 10 other recurring revenue ideas I mapped out that you could absolutely sell inside your MemberVault:

1. Content delivered each month via email, with a back catalog inside your MV (i.e. meal plan, craft plan, social media swipes, journal prompts, mindset check ins, SEO accountability tips, business trends for X audience, etc).*this could actually be two offers...a la "get this month and future month's, or sign up for the plus version and get our entire library"

2. Weekly content delivered with limited engagement opportunities with the creator/people in the audience (i.e. think Substack emails where you can comment on the email/blog post, but instead you could use lessons inside a product).

3. All access pass to your one off offers. Make this even more compelling with a "special insider" value add, like a private podcast series (use our Hello Audio integration!), extra emails, feedback from you, automated check ins, bonus workshops, etc.

4. Access to you within a specific container (i.e. one reply, one day a month, a weekly/monthly/quarterly check in, etc) using a specific method (i.e. email, voxer, video, call, etc).

5. Rethink standard coaching packages from a set end point retainer package to ongoing, with a standard recurring "cancel anytime" clause.

6. A package where they get something like one VIP day a month, and you only take X number of recurring VIP clients per month. So if they cancel, they most likely will lose their spot. And there is a ton of opportunity for automated nurturing here.

7. Access to special ongoing events that you create and run, i.e. happy hours with X audience, speed dating with X type of people, business mixer with connection opportunities, etc.

8. Connection service, either high touch personalized by who they want to meet and why, or simply providing the space and container for people to connect (you could even use MemberVault comments for this!).

9. Weekly group calls around a specific topic or struggle, with a library of past calls, including transcripts and potentially action steps or a journal/prompt book.

10. Daily/weekly/monthly private podcast with support materials (again, you could use Hello Audio) <-- side note: I legit would love something like that for mindset work...my favorite daily meditation app was purchased by headspace and I MISS IT TERRIBLY. 😭 I have several other meditation apps but they have *too much* choice, and it's overwhelming.

Anyhow. There you have it. 10 recurring revenue ideas!
