Hello, everybody, and welcome to another MV user spotlight. My name is Remi, I am part of Team MV. I'm the user success Lead at member vault and I am here to help you on your way to success using member Vault. And in these interviews, we get the opportunity to speak to some of our paying members, and to find out a little bit behind the scenes about what they are doing. And so far, this series has kind of resulted in so many cool new things that people are trying. And I guess today will be no different I'm sure. So today we are joined by Holly Hinton Hi, Holly, how are you? I'm fine. Thanks, Remi. How are you? It's nice and cold here in the UK.

Holly Hinton
The cold weather is back again. I did really well, my darling. So can you tell us how long have you been using member vaults. And I found member vault a couple of years ago through recommendation. And I've been teetering on the edge. So I think I I must have found it through like a plan or a light plan. So I haven't really needed to upgrade until recently.

Holly Hinton
And but yes, I've been using it and been recommending it to lots of my clients as well. So I the background isn't unfamiliar with me, if that makes sense.

Remi Oduyemi
Yes, it does make sense. And you just mentioned your clients, who is it that you normally work with in your business. So

Holly Hinton
I'm a web designer, and I work with small to medium sized businesses and new entrepreneurs. So I have website clients who are very much a different audience. But for my member vault, it's really those newbie entrepreneurs don't know where to start with all the tech stuff. And I help them to connect all the dots and teach them everything they need to know really

Remi Oduyemi
brilliant. And how are you currently working with those people inside your member? Are you? Are you doing one to ones? Are you running a membership? But how are

Holly Hinton
you? So I've got a membership? Yeah, I've got a membership called the web goddess Academy. And that used to be hosted on WordPress. And it was really unruly and awful for anyone who uses WordPress, you know what I'm talking about. And it just seemed like the right place, it took me a long time to get my head around how to work with them in member vault and make it work for me. So I now have We have monthly challenges. So we've set those up as separate products that they get added to automatically once they're a member of the Academy. It's just a monthly membership. And I can't wait for the community feature because at the moment that is all housed on Facebook, which isn't great. But you know, and we have monthly coaching calls. And we have our send an email out every week, which goes out through mailer light, so everything connects really nicely.

Remi Oduyemi
Amazing. Speaking of connection, what tech tools are you using alongside of them about to support your business and to support your, your kind of customer experience?

Holly Hinton
Absolutely. So already mentioned mailer light, that is sort of my preferred platform at the moment, just with the scope, the scale of my business, and Canva. Obviously, who can't not who can get away with not using it these days, I think that's the thing. I've done all the headers. And I love the fact that you can use gifts as your headers, so it gives it some movement, which my member vault has. Apart from that, it's really all the sort of standard tools anyone else would use. But I do a lot of work on SEO. So I share those specific tools, SEO rankings, my favorite one for that with clients.

Remi Oduyemi
Yeah, brilliant. Brilliant. So can you tell us a bit more about your very cool funnel that you've set up that leads your customers from sort of your old Wix site into member votes?

Holly Hinton
Yeah, absolutely. So I've I'm my old platform was on WordPress, but I'm also a Wix partner. So I am on the Wix marketplace. And I realized over the years that I've been doing this, that 90 Or over 90% of all the questions I get from the Wix marketplace, are regarding SEO, and everyone's built a website. And they then want to be at the top of Google, like we all do. But I was answering these questions again and again and again. So now what happens as part of their requests through the Marketplace on Wix, they get sent an automated email from me if they're partnered with me, or if they're recommended to me. And that points them towards my free SEO 101 course, which is housed on member vault. So I'm getting them into member vault, just to take the course to answer the questions because a lot of new entrepreneurs and new businesses don't have the cash flow to pay me to do their SEO for them. So it's a really good way of educating them about what they can and can't do in Wix. So it's very specific to that platform. And at the end of that free course, I recommend the Academy for them as the next step. So it's providing a really good way of people seeing how I work and how my courses operate, while solving a problem for them. So quite often they are They say that's fine. You know, they've learned enough, which is great. But if they haven't they want to know more than it points them to my academy.

Remi Oduyemi
Sorry, I can unmute myself there. I was having a little coughing fit in the background there. Sorry about that. I've got that sounds all amazing. And how have you found as a business owner using member vaults? You talked about using WordPress and Wix? And then so kind of coming into them. But how has that been for you? Is that been easy? Or is there been a steep learning curve? Tell me about that.

Holly Hinton
Really, really easy. Now, obviously, I've been I'm a web designer. And I've been involved in web design since the dark old days, Dreamweaver, etc.

Remi Oduyemi
I was the same. I was an old coder on Dreamweaver.

Holly Hinton
So once you've done that, I think anything these days is easy. However, I will say compared to I've used lots of different course software for clients, when they're trying to build them in. We've got WishList Member, things like that on client site. Sorry, my phone's going off now. Okay. And it just it's so much easier. It's and I think what I love about it actually is the support. And I've not found any software where you can get the level of support the level of transparency, and just other people who are using it, that community sense is absolutely second to none. So it's so that's why I've been recommending it to clients. But for me, it means that if I have a question, and it's not something that I know is done, there's somewhere someone in the group who will answer it. So searching through the Facebook group is a really useful way of finding information as well.

Remi Oduyemi
Yeah, absolutely. I, I remember when I first stumbled across MB and. And, sorry. Puppy distraction? Sorry. It was it was the community side of it for me that I found incredible. Like you say you can search for answers, because pretty much any question you have has already been answered, and someone has already tackled it. But it was also that you could ask a new question. And nobody ever sort of feels annoyed or peed off with you. It's just very much a really supportive place. And often it's somebody who's just learned that thing that you're trying to do. And then they'll jump on and go, Oh, I've just figured out how to do this. Let me help you. And it's almost like that kind of atmosphere of kind of pulling each other up and keep it you know, so

Holly Hinton
supportive. It's sort of none of that competition, even though we have some of us will obviously, very similar models or similar packages or products. everyone realizes that we're all just trying to make a difference. Absolutely. And actually, it's about celebrating that that group, because then you can point other people to it because we all do things slightly differently.

Remi Oduyemi
Yeah, definitely. No, I love I love the community side of metaphor. I think it's like you said second to none. So before we finished today, Holly, how can people find you if they want to learn more about SEO or coming to your academy? Where can they find you?

Holly Hinton
So my websites, web goddess.co.uk. And if you want to go straight to my member vault, it's courses dot web goddess.co.uk And all the informations on there about everything that I do.

Remi Oduyemi
Brilliant, and I will make sure I put all those links into the blog because it'll go into a blog. And I'll put it in the show notes in the podcast as well so that people can come and find you, particularly if they're new business owners, and they just built a website and they need an SEO Help. Holly is your girl. So do come and check her out. Holly, thank you so much for this. I really appreciate you taking the time.

Holly Hinton
