User Spotlight - How Kronda Adair Uses MV

In this super informative and fun interview with Kronda Adair coach from 'KarvelDigital', we chat about how she is driving traffic into her MV business by promoting one core product. We also talk about tech and how Kronda is using MV products to carve out a specific customer journey. It's such good stuff!

Welcome, everybody. Welcome to a another user spotlight. My name is Remi Oduyemi. I am the user success Lead here at MemberVault. Each week I get to interview our wonderful MV members who are building out their accounts are providing services to their clients. And we get to learn about their business. And we get to go a bit behind the scenes, and hopefully share some stuff that will inspire you with the growth in the building of your MBA accounts. So this week, I am joined by certified automation service provider Kronda Adair, Kronda how are you?

I'm awesome. And I'm so glad we finally made this happen. This was a longtime coming

Remi Oduyemi  
an age to get organized, I'm so thrilled that you are here and that we can do this.
Right, let's get started. So can you tell us about what it is you do?
And so that the world can understand cuz I'm not even going to try and explain it because you're amazing. And I'm fangirling. So you tell us in your own words, what it is you do.

Kronda Adair  
All right. Well, what is I do at the core is we help service mission driven service base business owners to learn to use their content to sell their service, so they don't have to work so hard it and then once they have that piece down, we help them automate the delivery of that content so that you can have a true marketing system that runs even when you're on vacation or doing family stuff or serving clients. So that that is really at the core what we do

your saving business owners time, sanity, all of that good stuff. Yes. You should have a cape, you're a hero, Kronda.

Kronda Adair  
I actually have an illustration of me, like superhero fashion that I got at a conference. Yeah, I use it all the time. 

Remi Oduyemi  
Oh, I need to see this.

Kronda Adair  
I think if you go on my, if you go on my personal Twitter, I might have it there still, I don't know.

I'm gonna go check you out in the cape, because that is going to make my day.
So how are you driving people? How are you driving traffic into your MemberVault currently?

Kronda Adair  
So currently, I think the number one thing that I am on about is the pot of gold. And the pot of gold is an air table base template. So if you're not familiar with air table, that it's like, looks like a spreadsheet, but does so much more like relational database that's really pretty has a lot of automation. So we needed to wrangle our content. And so I decided to use air table as the vehicle to say, Okay, this is the one place to rule them all that all our content is going to go so that we want to find it, we want to reuse it, we want to repurpose it. It's all in there. And so that's the main thing, you know, as far as like getting attention. And so when you get that, not only do I just hand you over and say like, oh, here's this, here's this airtable pace, good luck, right? There's a whole course inside of MVP that shows you here's if you're new to air table, here's how to even copy it and get it into your account. And then here's how to take this thing and make it your own. Because you know, especially if you're not familiar with air table, it can be really kind of feel daunting at first. But once you actually if people get to the point where they actually just get their content in there and they just even one time or like, start to go maybe search their website or search Facebook and then remember like, oh yeah, I put this in this one place, and they go and find it and it takes them like 15 seconds instead of five minutes like that then is like the hook and after that people are like, Okay, this is everything. So that is probably the main way people are getting into my envy, aside from like joining our programs, because all of our program content runs through MB. So for folks who are new to us, that's probably the main way that they're getting in there.

Remi Oduyemi  
Amazing. And I know you got a podcast as well, because I'm subscribed to your podcast Are you finding that as a good way to drive people to your MV as well.

Kronda Adair  
So the the thing that we use the podcast is really our private podcast so we I created a private podcast so that when people actually apply to work with us, instead of you know instantly like just getting on a call and trying to like figure everything out right then I recorded a four episode private podcast, I think you can listen to the whole thing in like 30 or 40 minutes. And so that also is an MV and connected where people can go and consume that you know, inside. The other nice thing is that envy connects so nicely to Hello audio, which is what we use to host our private podcast. So all of our coaching calls inside of our program are proud private podcast and so you can go and you can access those as coaching calls on MBA as well. And it's just automated that you know if this Um, I can't remember which way it goes. But there's some magic See, my team is doing it on me. You know, there's some magic happening where if there's a private podcast I'm Hello audio, you know, it gets put on MBA or vice versa. Don't ask me which is the beauty of having a team meeting you no longer know how your business even runs? I don't know I

Remi Oduyemi  
Yeah, I love it. I bloody love it. Speaking of Hello, audio, what other tech.. Yes I know,I know, this is a broad question for you. Because like, you know, this is just send this podcast into like an hour long. But give me like your top three tech tools that you like to use to support your business on MemberVault.

Kronda Adair  
Okay, so I already said airtable. So I'm just not even going to

Remi Oduyemi  
I'll give you another, I'll give you another three. There we go.

Kronda Adair  
Okay. I mean, ActiveCampaign, obviously, like number one, like the integration with ActiveCampaign. And v is just legendary. And so being able to, like, it's actually key and central to my whole onboarding process. So when we get a client, part of what happens is an active campaign, we say, okay, it's a client for this service. So they need to get access to this product, or these multiple products. And all of that just happens within minutes in the background. Because we can say, you know, give that person access to this, and this and this, and then send this email and then put the magic link in there that just logs them in and takes them straight to where they need to go. So if I had to pick one thing, where envy has just been like a game changer in terms of smoothing, the process of onboarding, that would definitely be it. So Active Campaign. Oh, man, what other press is always going to be my go to, you know, I still have my WordPress website. And I think I've done I've done a poor job actually, of really making it plain on my site, like, this is where you go for all the goodies. And we literally just, we just kind of revamped our theme. And so I, I've been, I've been not able to really touch the website, because I'm like, my developers gonna kill me if I start putting new content. So we've been in a content freeze, we now have launched on, you know, we changed our just under the hood stuff, right, the theme and our templates to make it easier to get content out. So now that we've done that now, I will be revisiting sort of everything about the main site and making sure to still say what we do, and does it make it plain as day that like, Hey, if you're new here, like, go get all these goodies right here and go see what's in the vault. Because I honestly don't want, you know, people signing up for our programs, like our high ticket programs, without having followed me for a while or consumed some of our other stuff, because that's just a recipe for disaster.

Remi Oduyemi  
Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. Cuz even if somebody's got the money and can afford it doesn't mean they're actually the right ideal client for you, because they haven't gone through that journey alone that they need to, they could just show up, and then you're like, Oh, my God, this is gonna be.

Kronda Adair  
Yeah, well, in a perfect case in point, right, I got an application just yesterday. And I have a very infamous post on my website about GoDaddy and my hatred thereof. And so this person's application was all about how they'd been on godaddy for 10 years, and it's never worked. And I'm like, how you going to do something for 10 years and doesn't, but like, this is their number one goal is like, get off GoDaddy. And I'm like, yeah, that ship sailed about five years ago, like, I'm not the one. But what I'm going to be able to do is say, I hear you, and absolutely, you should do this. And let me point you to this course, right, that I made, you know, way back when when I thought, of course, was going to be like, the thing that saved my business. But I'm like, let me point you to this course, where I actually do walk you through, like, here's how, you know, here's how I set up everything, right? Here's the host that I use here, the Page Builder, you know, themes that I use, you know, you can go buy that for, you know, 500 bucks, and like, go out, yeah. So it's just great to have even though like, I went through, I don't know, probably nine months ago, I realized like, my envy was kind of maybe overwhelming or just like it had too much stuff in it. And so I went and I was like, Okay, what are the things that actually put people on the customer journey that I want them to be on? And I hit everything else, but they're still in there so I can send this person to this product without having to make it you know, visible on my on my envy. So I love that I can just keep all that stuff. You know, it's like the hidden behind the scenes. That I can be like, oh, yeah, no, you Yeah, you can't have this. Let me send you directly

Remi Oduyemi  
That's a really good point about the customer journey and actually, you know, not having because you know, somebody in the MBA account, and there'll be like, 50 products there. And that is a lot for somebody new arriving, and actually really kind of thinking strategically about what is this customer journey that I want my people to go on, and then only showing those products is a fantastic tip that you've just shared, because I think it will help people to, you know, think about how they show up on env. And the fact that you can still hide things, doesn't mean they're gone away, you can still link to them, you can still share and send people to them, but they're just not consuming your kind of your window space. When people

Kronda Adair  
Yeah, I just had this vision of like red carpet like paparazzi, you know, like, you know, someone walks into your envy, and everybody's like, suddenly, like, right there, you know, everybody all at once, and it's like, you don't you don't want that as, as your first impression.

Remi Oduyemi  
So not so I'm just gonna ask you something, and then just jumped out of my head. Um, what do you love the most about MB?

Kronda Adair  
Um, I love not having to worry about the technical side of things. And I, you know, like I My background is as a WordPress developer and so everything that we're doing an MBA I used to do on WordPress, I had a learning management system, we had LearnDash with the whole thing. And I just had this realization after I started following Mike and Aaron, and, you know, talking to Mike and like just seeing what they were doing and and how they approached business. I realized, like, I don't really want to be spending my time on futzing with this technology and keeping it up to date and like doing all those things, like I just want to focus on the content. And so for me to actually move over and say like, I'm gonna put all of my you know, learning management deliverables, like into someone else's hands was a huge deal. And Mike has never ever disappointed on that front like, Yeah, you can't you know, well, I was about to say, you know, you can't just think of something and like all of a sudden it's there but I have literally seen people post in the group and say, Oh, I wish this was happening and like four hours later he's like done, so I withdraw that comment because it's you know, it could happen

Right. Yeah. So yeah, I mean, I've never I've literally never seen the level of responsiveness and just care for for members users whatever you call us. I've noticed I'm never seen it anywhere else.

Remi Oduyemi
