Hello everyone. It's Remi here from team MV. I'm the user success lead at member vault, and we are back with another user spotlight. And today we are joined by Lee Chaix McDonough, who is one of our fabulous Membervault customers. And I'm going to ask her some questions and we can get to go a bit behind the scenes and see what she's doing inside of her Membervault.

Hi Lee, how are you today?

Hi, Remi. I am great. Thank you so much for having me today. Absolute pleasure.

Remi Oduyemi
How long have you been using them for vault?

Lee Chaix McDonough
Yes, I, I had to go back in my email archives and look this up because it's been a really long time. I think it was somewhere around 2018, maybe even a little earlier. So we're looking at four to five years working with member vault.

Brilliant. And can you tell us who, who do you work with? What's your, who's your ideal client for your business?

Lee Chaix McDonough
Yes. So at coach with clarity, we've really focused on helping intuitive, innovative coaches, master both the art and the business of coaching. So life business, health relationship coaches who want to serve their clients better while growing and even scaling their business. Those are my people and I have found member vault has been such a fantastic platform to help me really show up and serve them powerfully.

Oh, that's amazing. And how long have you been doing that now?

Lee Chaix McDonough
Coming up on six years prior to, yeah. Prior to coaching and coach training, I was a psychotherapist, so I did a lot of individual and couples counseling as well as some public health work for yeah, about 15 years before I took the leap and transitioned into coaching and coach training.

Remi Oduyemi
Amazing. And what tech tools do you use with your member vault to help you serve your customers?

Lee Chaix McDonough
Yes. I use active campaign as my email platform and I so appreciate how easy it is to use with member vault.
I use a lot of web hooks so that I've got automation set up an active campaign, and then the web hooks ensure that people automatically get enrolled or disenrolled from any of my member of all products. So that's a big one.

And then for client management, I do still work with some one-on-one clients and I also have some small groups.
I use dubsado as my client management system. And again, I find just works really nicely as a whole group with with member vault.

Oh, that's brilliant. And can you tell us a little bit more about your membership and how you set that up inside a member vault and what's included in your membership?

Lee Chaix McDonough
I'd be happy to. So I run the coach with clarity collective formerly the coach with the polarity membership it's been around for almost three years. July will be our three-year anniversary.

I started small and that's something I actually recommend a lot of people do when starting a membership is have a founding members run and give yourself a 90 day runway to test things out with your founding members.

So that's what I did from July through September of 2019, before I did a big launch in October to the general public. So within the collective, we have weekly live calls and the topics of those calls vary.
Sometimes it's spotlight coaching. Sometimes it's a guest expert trainer, other times it's a Q and a, I also have co-working sessions, which are quite honestly the hidden gem of the membership. It's amazing what we can get done in a coworking session.

And then in addition to those live calls, I also have a huge vault of contract templates, coaching guides, all sorts of resources and member of vault has been so lovely because it's given me a place to house all of that content. So whether it's the replays from my live calls, whether it's the downloadable guides in the vault, all of that is housed in member vault. And so my members know that's where they need to go to access any of the bonuses and all of the materials that affiliated with the membership.

That sounds amazing. And what about your pricing? What sort of pricing structures do you use?

Lee Chaix McDonough
So I am trying something new for 2022. I feel like I'm going against the grain here, but I'm really interested this year is one big experiment for me. So up until 2022, I had a fairly traditional pricing strategy. You could join for a quarter or you could join for a full year. And so at that point, the pricing was around 5 97 for a quarter, 1997 for a year for 2022. I am moving towards an unlimited access model. So there's one payment. Well, I have a monthly payment plan too, if you need it, but there's, there's one fee I should say. And then you have unlimited access to the collective for its lifetime. So I want to be very careful about lifetime access because everyone's like, well, what does lifetime mean? It means the lifetime of the program. And so that's why I'm calling it unlimited access. Once you pay that fee, whether in one lump sum or over five or 10 monthly payments, you have unlimited access to the collective. So every single call, any tool or training that I add to the vault, it's all in there for my members.

That's amazing... really good idea. I really liked that. And how easy do you find using member vault and how easy do your customers find their experience in using the platform?

That's one of the things I love most about member vault is that it is really easy for both the user, the end user, my members, but also me, the user as the membership host, and we have a system in place, my operations manager, Robin and I both are in the backend of member vault, making sure everything goes smoothly and I've chosen to host my videos on Vimeo as my platform. And so what I love most is how easy it is to integrate the videos into member vault. Literally we're just taking that little code, plugging it in and it shows up automatically. So that's, that's been fantastic.

And so as a result, it's really easy then for my members to just into their portal, click on the collective, go to the area where whichever video or training is housed and it's all right there waiting for them. So it's almost drag and drop. I mean, it really couldn't be easier.

That was brilliant. Now I love hearing that feedback about how easy it is for you as the, the owner of, of the platform and for your users to use it as well.
