An easy way to get consistent traffic to your MemberVault

Hey, hey, Erin Kelly, CEO and co founder of MemberVault. So today I am going to share one of those things. I think we all have this in our business where it's like one of those so obvious to us as the expert that we don't even think to mention it to our people kind of things.

And then when we do like offhandedly share it, and people get super excited, and and or are like, Oh my gosh, I didn't even realize that or I didn't, I never thought to do that or whatever.

That we realized, okay, actually, we should maybe talk about this a little bit more. So I know there's there's probably like an unlimited number of things that I could do that fall under that umbrella for MemberVault. And my strategy brain, but in this one, it's really easy. And it's something that is not only easy, this is like my favorite combination, it's not only easy to implement, it will get you ongoing results.

And that is kind of like an awesome Friday gift for you. And so when you are listening to this, whether it's today or later this week, or whenever

I ask that you push pause, after you hit a point where you're like, I know exactly what I'm going to do. Go into your MemberVault grabber links, go to your email tool, and either edit your template if you have an email template that you use for your list emails, or potentially even create a template, although I don't want to overwhelm you. Because if you if you haven't created one yet, that might be a little bit too big of an ask. But when you send your next email, add this, add this idea to your list email.

And so and this is very cryptic, right, giving you like all of the things I'm excited about and the action stuff. And I haven't even told you exactly what I'm talking about.

So this is one of those things that I shared in the collaborative, where, which is our Facebook community. And I said, Who here is adding your member about product? Or member vaults, your main site link into your list emails?

And I expected it to be like one of those things that everyone's like, Oh, yeah, of course, I've been doing I've been doing that since the beginning. But no, it was definitely a mix of Oh, yeah, I just started doing that. Or I literally just did that on my last email. And people going, I didn't know that I had never thought to do that. Oh my gosh, like, I'm totally gonna do that now.

So that is why I'm doing a podcast episode on it. I also did a documentation article. And then I'm going to share the link in just a second.

I asked users to send in an example email to me. And so I took screenshots, and I have 10 different ones so that you can get inspired.

And again, it's not, it's not one of those things that takes a lot of time. It doesn't take a lot of, I would even say, creativity here. If you're starting to feel a little overwhelmed, that means you're going too big. And I am so guilty of that myself. But just a reminder that like done is better than perfect. And it does not have to be fancy, it does not have to be designed, it does not have to be the best copy ever, like just get started. And then you can start playing around with it as you go.

So you can look at those 10 email examples by going to membervault.co/emailfooter. And that is nine different user examples. And then I obviously had to workshop the MemberVault emails as well. And like, Oh, no, we haven't edited this, like our template in like a year. And honestly, we were at the bottom of the pile in terms of like creativity and smart use of space.

So I have some homework for myself as well to improve both our copy and the enticing ness of that link. Because right now just as resources, which is like super bland and boring. So here are some ideas and you can get the ideas by going to membervault.co/emailfooter.

Or you can just listen to this podcast and go ahead and jump on over to your member button, grab those links, and then over to your email tool. And if you want to be really crazy, you can send an email today.

So here are some ideas to add your MV links to your email footer.

1. PS - you could add a PS to the end of your list email, which is like doesn't have to necessarily be on topic with what you were talking about in the body of the email. It can be a PS, I have this coupon code right now for this product it can be I just added this new product, it can be a waitlist, it can be a have a challenge coming up, make sure you check it out. It can be Did you know you can get a sneak peek into my blog could be your signature freebie or it could be a paid product doesn't really matter. And the Sneak Peek will go to a teaser module.

Not sure how to get your links? You can go to that documentation article at membervault.co/emailfooter and at the very bottom after the inspiration examples, I link out to how to get the links. So it's super easy. The little gear icon at the product level, model level, and lesson level, if you click on that, it will give you the link that you can use to share. Again, if you want to share the product, if you want to share a module, like if you want to share like a teaser module, then that works really great. Or you can share like your entire membervault site like your main sub domain.

So it just kind of depends like what makes the most sense for the context of how you're doing that. So other ideas that you can do. So I said PS, that works really good. That's like a really easy, like, if you want to throw together an email today, that would be a fantastic thing to just throw in.

2. You can have a permanent button or link that goes to a signature freebie or your main MemberVault site or your like highest converting paid offer. You can put a button at the bottom of your emails. And so there's an examples of that in the documentation article.

Or, you can also do just a link, right like if that and that's how we have ours right now, or it's just, we have a link to our Facebook collaborative, we will link to resources, which goes to our membership site with all of our like, free courses and everything. And then we have a link to documentation. But again, I'm going to be working on that because it's like not compelling at all. But again, I mean, Don is better than perfect. So having that even is better than nothing.

But then the one that I love, and there's examples of this and the documentation article, which again, I'm going to share that link one more time membervault.co/emailfooter. So in in there, there's also examples of what I think is the best.

3. Including a "Here are three ways I can support you", or three ways you can get my help or you know, however you want to say that.

And you include, and this is this is my recommendation, you include something that's completely on gated, which means that they can click over and get access to it without having to request entrance to a Facebook group. Without you know having to sign up for something, it's it's totally free and clear, they click over and they can start consuming it. So for us, that would be linking to one of our podcast transcripts that we have in our member vault site, then the second link is something free. So I would do your signature freebie.

Whatever you whatever your highest converting freebie is that's in your MemberVault, I would link to that. And again, if someone already has access to that, it's just going to be easier for them to find it. And oh yeah, like I forgot I had access to that right, you only be able to click over. So don't worry too much about that.

You can get fancy if you're an email geek and do the conditional content. But I wouldn't worry about it, if that makes your head spin. So and then the third thing is definitely linked to something paid. And you get to choose and you can change this around.

And I would probably vary that one the most like. So it's the most on topic with whatever is in the body of the email. Because that is going to make the click through rate even higher. So you could potentially change that every time and have it be linking to a different paid product. And you could experiment with adding a coupon code after the link like, hey, until x date like you can use this to get whatever or you can use this to get a bonus or whatever right.

And play around with that just have some fun with it. So to break that down one more time, I would, my favorite way to do this, and I'm going to be updating our emails to include it as well is has something completely unrelated.

So the three, three different links.

And the first one is completely on gated content. So they don't have to request to join, they don't have to sign up. They click from your email into your member vault site, and they can consume it. So for us, we're going to be linking to a teaser module that has our podcast transcripts in it. But you can play around with what that would be for you. And if you don't have that yet in your MemberVault Don't worry like you, you could do a blog post on your website or something on your social media or a podcast episode. Whatever it is, but ideally like eventually you'll get to where you're all of your links are coming back to MemberVault so that you're getting your maximum amount of binge & buy-ability with your subscribers clicking over and looking at other ways that they can get support from you.

The second link is something free so they have to sign up for it. So a freebie of some sort. So they need to get on your list to get access. And again, link to something inside of your MemberVault I recommend doing either your signature freebie

or her

highest converting freebie. And then if there's something that you have that's on topic of what you're talking about in the body of the email, maybe you're doing a challenge right now, you have a summit coming up, or you have a workshop that you're doing or whatever it is, then that obviously would, I would do that for your freebie. And then the third thing is your paid product. Inside of MemberVault, you can again, play around with what you link to. So again, if you want to see what that looks like in other people's emails, you can go to membervault.co/emailfooter.

And if you want to share what you try, um, or if you're already doing this, and you want to share it inspiration example, take a screenshot of one of your email, footers, and post it inside of the collaborative Facebook community to help other people get inspired and see all the cool things that they can do.

And, and know that it's a work in progress, like it's not something that

is really ever going to be perfect perfected, I should say it's something to just have fun with. Right? So I'm glad that I did this because I realized I haven't edited our template in like a year, and it can be a lot better.

So sharing that as inspiration for if you haven't ever done this, don't feel bad. just have some fun with it and play around and see what see what happens. See what design you want to do see what links you want to try. It's just it's a fun experiment. And then, if you are wanting if you want to try this out today, after listening to this episode, and you're like, yeah, I need to send an email, but I don't know what to say. We have email templates that you can use.

And you can go to membervault.co/sixemails, and you can either do a numeric six, or write it out, they both work. And there's six Madlib style, copy and paste, tweak it and send email templates. And they're so truly trying to give you everything that you need to be able to get more eyeballs on your MemberVault because that is how you make more sales. That's how you get more engagement on your content.

And it's really exhilarating when you start seeing people actually, like go in and you can look at your metrics. And you can see, I have all these hot leads. And I have all these people are answering quiz questions. And I have people that are like, you know, engaging with my content. And it's really fun. It's

like a very happy feedback loop for everyone, for your people and for you. So again, I will drop those links inside of the show notes. And if you want to share what you're doing, I love to see what people are doing especially after they listen to a podcast episode. I would love to hear from you.

And again, you can post that inside of our collaborative user community by going to membervault.co/collab because I would love to see what you what inspiration you took from this how it's going. Tell us your story.

I'd love to hear if this episode inspired you and/or see YOUR email example. Share below!
