This works if you have a great shopping cart service that offers nice checkout pages, and coupon codes, like SamCart (that's what we use). The POWER of this email is you're rewarding them for being engaged, and they'll be a possible great testimonial/give you feedback...but more importantly, your shopping cart can have an upsell that pops up after they input the coupon/get your course for free that says "Wanna get my X for only $19?", etc.
