Full Transcript:

Hi, hello, welcome. I am so excited to be a part of MemberVault's Traffic Summit, I'm coming to you live from my car, where this is the only place as a single mom, I can get any pace. So there's no dog barking and no sick child in the background, eating popcorn.

My name is Remi and I am a business coach and business strategist from the UK. And I work with online coaches to help them create profitable businesses without working 24/7. Because nobody needs to be doing that. And I do this so that they can earn the money that they deserve and live the life that they really want to live. I am so happy to be here and be a part of this. And I'm really looking forward to sharing with you today, the traffic strategy that is really working best for me right now. And it is sending new traffic to my MemberVault hub and increasing my sales and my reach and all of that good stuff. So we're gonna get into that today.

So what am I doing, I am using summits as an exponential growth, traffic strategy. And summits are often three day or five day events where you bring together anywhere between 15 to 30 different speakers on a specific subject. And the summit allows you to really leverage other people's audiences, to send them your way. So I love that as a strategy for growing my business.

So I started looking at doing summits during the summer of 2022. And I fell in love with the idea of hosting a summit for my business. In fact, I had lots of ideas. But I eventually ran my first summit in September 2023. And I tried this strategy primarily because I really wanted to grow my email list and my audience size. And I knew that hosting a summit with lots of other business owners promoting it would help me to do just this.

And then the second reason for trying this strategy was to drive more traffic to my MemberVault, because having more people see my MemberVault hub meant a guarantee for me in more sales of my products and of my services. Basically just having lots of lovely, gorgeous people swirling around inside of my services ecosystem.

So what I really love about this strategy of using summits to drive traffic, is that it really drives a lot of traffic for quite a long time. And I mean, this isn't just like drive traffic for you know, one day or a week, we are talking about before the summit, you get a lot of traffic during the summit, you get a lot of traffic, and after the summit, you get a lot of traffic.

And before the summit, you generally have speakers coming to your site to read about the summit itself, you will have sponsors coming to the site. And of course, you'll have the registrants and the visitors coming to your site to read about what the event is and to, you know, get their free ticket or purchase their all access pass and things like that. So before the summit, there is a lot of traffic being sent to your site.

And then of course, during the summit, there's a lot of repeat traffic of people coming back each day to watch the presentation. Sometimes they're coming back multiple times a day. And you have the speakers coming there to engage with comments as well. And the sponsors come in to check it out. So there's this real flurry during the summit of traffic coming towards your central hub.

And of course, after the summit, after summit, you get the people who missed out. So they're coming back to see if they can somehow purchase, you know, the replay of the thing that they've missed. But you also get the people who have purchased an all access pass or a VIP pass because they're coming back to access the presentations that they have signed up for, which they get lifetime access to. So they're continuously coming back to your sight and being in your ecosystem to to see the content of the summit.

So the summit really brings in months of high traffic visits to your summit. And I love this I love this as a strategy for not just sending traffic but bringing in repeat traffic as well.

And so there's three reasons that I want to share. Overview, before we get into the actionable stuff about why this strategy really works for me,

it's not just a number one is it's not just me driving traffic to the site, it's not just me on my own, trying to generate traffic, it's actually lots of people, collectively all driving traffic to my, to my site and where my business is.

The second reason is that it is, as I just mentioned earlier, it's consistently high traffic over months, versus, you know, having a splurge of people coming for one or two days, this is consistently high traffic sent to my MemberVault account over months, not days.

And then the third reason is that it's repeat traffic, you know, they keep coming back, and then keep swirling around in my world. And this just really makes me love this summit strategy as a way of driving traffic, one of my favorite ways to bring new people into my world.

So now what I want to do is I just want to share with you some of the actionable steps that I took to create the summit and to drive Summit, summit traffic using MemberVault, and what the some of the steps were that I actually took. And I hope you find this really useful.

So the first thing I did was I created all the summit pages and all the resources on member vault. And MemberVault is great for that in terms of having everything you need in one place. So I created a registration page on MemberVault, using MemberVault pages. And I also was able to use some custom code to add on a timer like a deadline timer or a countdown timer to create some urgency so that when people did come to the registration page, to hear about the summit, that once they got their free ticket, they got transferred to a secondary page, which would have an early bird price offer for those people who wanted to opt into purchasing the All Access Pass or the VIP pass whatever you want to call it. And it would have like a 15 minute countdown on it, and they would get a discounted price. And if they didn't purchase in that time, then they would never see that offer again, like it would just be disappear would just disappear. And they if they later want to purchase a VIP pass on all access pass, and they would have to upgrade at the full price. So I love to be able to create that on the registration page.

And then I The second thing that I did was I created a MemberVault short link. So this is the shareable link that I was using to talk about and send traffic to my Summit. And it was also a link that the speakers can use and sponsors can use as well. And so rather than using the full link of the product, which has quite a lot of letters and characters in it, MV allows you to make a short link, so I was able to have my domain name forward slash might say summit or forward slash registration or forward slash speakers or forward slash sponsors. And to create these short links that just made it really simple to share. That was a really nice feature that I utilized while creating my summit.

And then the third thing was I used MemberVault products as the main summit hub areas. And I'm going to take you through the different areas that I had to set up my summit using MemberVault products to house my summer in.

So the first product that I set up was a speaker's hub. And inside the speaker's hub, there would be all the information that the speakers would need to know you know, things like the deadline of when they need to send things in what they needed to send in. And this also was used to allow me to collect all of my speaker assets, so you know, their bio information, their images, their headshots, and that sort of information. So there was one app specifically set up just for the speakers. And it kept everything organized in one place.

And then I had a second hub, which was a MemberVault product, which is called sponsors. And again, this hair house all the information that the sponsors needed, and allowed them to pay for whichever package they wanted to sponsor all on their product and also allowed me to collect sponsor assets. So again, their logos and their bios and their bundles and their offers and things like that. All housed in one place under a sponsors hub.

then the third area that I created was the main summit portal. And this would be the portal that if you had a free ticket you would come into, and you'd see, you know, day one, day two, day three, and then you'd go into those modules. And you'd be able to watch the videos and read about the speaker bios and who they were, and to get any freebies, and links like that would all be inside of a lesson. So that was the main summit pull tool hub.

Now I ally allowed at my summit 24 hours for people to have access to each of the presentations. And so on day two, I would then go into the day one module, and I would simply just turn the video off. So you, I would just Yeah, I would just go in and turn the video off so that the video is no longer available. And then I would copy and paste in some text into the lesson area just to say, you know, really sorry that you've missed this presentation. But if you would still like to watch this and access this, then you can upgrade and get yourself an all access pass or VIP pass. And I'll put the link in there, which would then take them to the fourth module, the sorry, the fourth hub that I created, which was the VIP summit portal.

So the full hub really was just a duplication of the main summit pool tool. So I just duplicated it. So there were two versions. But on the VIP summit portal, I wasn't taking away any of the videos in there, because that would be where people would upgrade to get there all access pass, and have lifetime access to all of the presentations. So it was just a duplication, but I didn't take away any of the videos in the VIP portal. That was for people who paid for access. And in there, I also included the bundle offers. So any of the things that sponsors or speakers had contributed as a gift to all access buyers, they were also inside the VIP summit portal area. And I also put a payment option on that portal as well. Because if people hadn't taken the early bird offer, and then they were in the main summit portal, looking at the videos, or they just missed the video, the link would take them to the fourth module, which is the VIP summit module, and sorry, portal. And then they could pay and buy the VIP pass or the all access pass at the full at the full price. So it was very easy to link between the free portal to the VIP portal just by copying out the code from the VIP portal into the free portal and sending people that way which people did go and purchase which was great.

And then the fifth and the final module and where I think the magic really happens when we're focusing on the traffic part of this strategy is I created an affiliate portal inside of MemberVault. So MemberVault have this all set up for us to use, which is absolutely brilliant. And I created a product called summit name affiliates portal. And this allows people like my speakers and my sponsors, and you know, any visitors that wanted to share and earn some money to drive traffic to the portal, they could go into there and collect their very own unique effort affiliate link that they can use to promote and market the event. And inside of the portal, I also put in their images that they could use so that the summit logo and summit images and branding colors. And I also put into there any copy that they could use, which would allow them to easily promote and market the summit, again, collectively with everyone.

So the affiliate portal is really the linchpin, I think for this strategy, in that it gives it gives your speakers, your sponsors, you know, your visitors the ability to share, you know all of your assets with their audiences. And also if anybody using their individual link, then gets a free ticket or upgrade to an all access pass or to VIP pass would then they would then earn 50% of that ticket price. And that is all done inside the affiliate, the affiliate section that set up inside the MemberVault.

So that those are the five core areas where I house my summit and I'll just run through them again if you're writing this down.

The first product that I created was a speaker information product.

The second was the sponsor information product.

The third one was the main summit portal product.

The fourth one was the VIP summit portal.

And the fifth one was the affiliates portal.

So they were kind of the bones and the structure of my summit, and how people interacted with the summit. And as I've said, the affiliates, the affiliate links and the affiliate copy allowed all of those people to promote the summit with their audiences and drive their audiences to my event. And this brought in lots of new traffic into my world,

I was able to drive over 3000 new people to my MemberVault account by using this strategy. And this was a relatively small summit that was created very much on the fly. And I absolutely know now that I have the experience of creating summits is I know that future summits will drive even larger numbers of people into my world. And this absolutely increases my business sales. And, you know, helps me hit my income goals.

If there was one thing that I would advise watching out for with this strategy, is that organizing summits and events like this are hard work. Okay, there's no sugarcoating it, they are hard work. There are lots of moving parts, there are lots of people to manage. And if you're not an organized person, it can feel horribly stressful at times. But the collaborative sharing and promoting of this one event, it does bring in a shedload of new traffic over months, not days, months, months, and months and months of seeing high traffic coming into my business, which is brilliant. And so for me, it was worth it for the email growth that came from running a summit from the new connections and the relationships that I've built, and the traffic that it has delivered into my small business.

I really hope that you've enjoyed this session.
