Set up your first celebrate action in 5 min (or less)

Or listen on Anchor, Spotify or Apple Podcasts.

Hey, hey, Erin Kelly, CEO and co founder of MemberVault here. So this is going to be a action packed, very short podcast episode to help you help us celebrate the new celebrate action that the new feature that went live this weekend.

So this was one of the most hotly anticipated features that we've had in a while. And people are just really excited about confetti, which I can appreciate. Because I mean, who doesn't like confetti? Well, there's probably people, but I mean, it's just fun, especially if it's virtual confetti, so you don't have to clean it up.

And I think this is definitely one of those things that can feel a little bit more intimidating because it's using actions and like people are a little intimidated by actions. But this is honestly one of the fastest things that you can do in your in your member vaults account. So if you have a product set up in your member vault account, and you can literally do this in five minutes or less.

So log into your member vault, go to actions, find the product that you want to add your celebrate confetti to. And keep in mind that it's for only certain milestones. So like when they complete a product or when they complete a module. And if you want to learn more about the new celebrate feature, and which milestones you can add it for, you can go to membervault.co/celebrate. But we did that, so that it would make sure that like you're not accidentally setting it up for something that's not going to necessarily make sense to your people. Or, setting it up for too many things, right?

So um, so if you go into your member about go to actions, find the product that you want to add it to, I would go ahead and this is what I did, I challenged myself as soon as we we pushed the feature, it's like, okay, where am I gonna add this first. And it's one of those things where you can kind of like overwhelm yourself with at all the possibilities and you can go too big. But as always, if you have been listening for a while you know that I am a fan of done is better than perfect.

So just choose whatever product that you have, that is getting more traffic, and then just set the action to be when they complete that product. So you'll go, like I said, you'll go to actions, you'll scroll, you'll find that product, and then choose complete product, and then celebrate action. And then there's a little text window so you can actually put like, you can put emojis you can put text, you can put their first name personalization tag, so that their name actually pops up. And so it can be something like, Yeah, you did it like so proud of you. Awesome job, whatever, right, keep it pretty short, like it could totally just be.

And I recommend this, like, this is what I did, like bare bones, just get something in there. Because it's fun, people will like it, it'll be a guarantee that you will hear about it on social media, if you have any traffic and that product, or and or like you'll get an email from someone, if you send out regular emails, or like oh my gosh, like oh, by the way, I just finished such and such or the challenge or the resource guide or whatever. And like, that was so cool. Like I loved I loved the confetti.

So I would and that's all you have to do. Like, and it lets you preview it. So you can see what it looks like you can make sure that you you know, tweak it to so that it's you know, to where you're comfortable. But again, don't overthink it like that is your first action, that is your first celebrate action.

And then if you want to get fancy, after you've done that, you can start thinking about more complicated strategies that are like, you know, take advantage of a supportive selling experience. So I would not recommend putting coupons inside of your inside of your celebrate window, text window, because they once it goes away, like they have no way to get it back.

But what you can say is, so let's take the scenario. And again, set set up the bare minimum first that I said first, right, so yeah, you did a good job. And then you can go into your email tool, set up an email that is triggered by a tag, and have it be like, so like, so awesome that you finished and I'll use our lightning fast courses, as an example. So it's like, so proud of you that you finish this. And I'm going to be setting this up to you, by the way, so far that you've understood us like well done. Here's a special gift, because I like to combine promotional offers with gifts because I think that it makes it more like fun. And there's also like, I'm probably going to totally Bumble, this word, reciprocity, I did put over we'll go with it.

But it's the idea of when you give something to someone else, they want to give something back to you. And this is not like I'm trying to trick people or game people. But I am all about like creating really nice experiential experiences for relationship building.

And that whole supportive selling and customer centric and so it's like if you make it fun, so they've already gotten confetti, and they've already got you cheering them on inside of your MemberVault and then they get an email that's like, here's a gift and it could be it could be something as complicated as like this isn't possible. In terms of setting up a miracle, but you have to have the content to do this could be as easy as like having an action so that when they complete the product, it unlocks another product for them.

And so in the email, you'd say, like, way to go, so glad you finished lightning fast courses, I thought this would be a really handy thing for you. So I went ahead and gifted it to you. And also, you have a discount code that you can use towards x y&z products.

And you can put a deadline on it or not, it's totally up to you, I usually don't say no, it's more complicated to do that. And also, like, even though urgency works, like, I just like having those things laying around. And we actually have tested it before, where we have a product where there was no expiration date on a discount, and like, people come back, like six months later and buy it with a discount code. So I know that they're digging back through their emails, and finding it. So that's, I mean, that's just how I roll.

But, um, so you could just say, like, so proud of you, because you did such an, like you did the work. And I want to keep working with people that do the work. You know, not only did I give you this, this special gift, but I also here is a discount code for you. Right, like, so that's totally something that would not only feel really great to them, make them feel acknowledged and seen and like, just like so many good things. But it's also a conversion opportunity for you.

So and, you know, you can, it doesn't necessarily need to be a coupon code, like, it could totally be a special bonus or whatever. But like, I don't want to get too complicated here for a podcast episode. Because I know that if I go into too many strategies that your head will start to spin and then we will get nowhere, right.

So that that is one of the easier things to to do, because you just throw coupon code MemberVault and then like, put it into the email. And so then you would just go back to your celebrate message inside of MemberVault inside actions, and say, like, you know, tweak it so that it's like, Yeah, you did it. So proud of you special gift hitting your inbox now, right, so that they know, to go check their inbox, and like, Oh my gosh, so delicious. So good for them, so good for you.

So, first step is to get that like bare bones, minimal, they finished your product, they get a little confetti on their screen on a you did it message to make them feel good. Second step, if you want to get more advanced, is to go ahead and go into your email tool set up an email that's triggered by a tag. That's like, you know, here's a gift, and a gift can be anything, right? Like, it could be hit reply, and let me know what your next struggle is. And I'll give you my best advice. It can be a 15 minute like voxer opportunity with you.

Um, because these are going to be in it depends on what where you have the celebrate happening, right? Like, is it is it on the challenge that you're going, and you're doing this as like going into a launch. And so it's worth giving a little bit more energy, whatever, right? Like you kind of have to decide what's up what makes sense for you.

But so the gift can be anything. But like I said, if you have the content available, you could totally have it be like a quickie little product that you throw together in your member vault who's like an old resource that you don't promote anymore, and make it invisible. And then in actions, you would just go to that product that has the celebrate action setup, and say, when they complete the product, give them access to this other product, right. And then once the email is set up, and like ready to to be triggered, you would also say, when the product is completed, you know, apply this tag and then do the tag that you have in your email system, make sure it's exactly the same. And then that will immediately start working. And then you can tweak the, you know, the the message that just lets them know that there's an email coming their way.

But so, so awesome. So Pro, so fun, will make you stand out, it's a conversion opportunity, it's going to make your people feel super special.

And yeah, so hopefully that has given you some ideas. And you'll go and you'll add your first confetti bomb to a product and your member vaults soon because it literally would take you five minutes or less.

And then you can start playing around with some of the more you know, advanced ideas that are more like supportive selling and like conversion opportunities and like all those good things and that's just for completes a product. Like there's other opportunities too. So if you do this, and when you do, maybe I should say when you do this, go to membervault.co/celebratechallenge.

And that's like really long, but I know it's easier to remember if it's like a full word. So membervault.co/celebratechallenge, and that will take us a short length that's taking you to our Facebook collaborative.

We have a little challenge post that if you drop a screenshot of what you've done with your celebrate, you know showing off the action that you will get a an account boost in your member vaults, which if you are on a free plan, just know that those don't activate until you upgrade to a paid plan. But there's also no expiration, and you can accumulate them. So it's a fantastic if you like MemberVault. It's a fantastic way to grow your account limit before you're, you know, until you're ready before you're ready, I should say, and there's no expiration on it, you can accumulate them.

So you can go there and drop that. And you can also drop the link to your product to get more visibility. So you can do that again, by going to membervault.co/celebratechallenge. And that's, of course, if you're on Facebook, so if you're not I'm sorry. That's it was was what I did what I threw together really quickly before I did this podcast episode will probably add it on to our circle community too, but I don't have that live yet.

And if you have questions about the celebrate feature, you can post them on that post in Facebook, the one that I just gave you the link to, or you can go and read the documentation article, which is at membervault.co/celebrate.

But again, don't let it intimidate you. It's super fun, really fast to throw together, do the bare minimum, get it live and then you can tweak accordingly. Once you're a little bit more comfortable.
