Two things that matter most for cash flow

Hey, hey, Erin Kelly, CEO and co founder of MemberVault. So happy May. And this is the start of our main momentum, which is basically one of our team members here, I wanted to put challenge on there. And I'm like, I don't want to call it a challenge, because it really is just a supportive container. for the month of May, inside of our collaborative community on Facebook, where we are going to be, you know, talking about what everyone is working on and giving you opportunities for feedback and support and visibility.

And, so I really wanted to avoid any sense of like, you have to do these things. Or you have to finish all of these modules or anything like that, because that's not the intention here, the intention is you can pop in whenever you want.

And have a know that you are going to have a community people that are also working on similar things in terms of either creating new products right now this month, and promoting voice a products, but product, probably some people, some people are trying to do multiple products, but most people are doing one. Or that you're just really working on getting visibility to existing things or something that you've already kind of finished wrapping up and you're ready to launch it.

That this is going to be a space where you can come and get visibility and support from both team envy and from the collaborative community, which is like the most positive, helpful community I've ever seen. Yeah, like, we have so many people that join just to ask questions and see if it's a good fit for them. But that is the goal, for me momentum is to really support you in doing that, and to getting exposure and sales and engagement on the products that you are creating or getting more exposure on. So the main thing that we are going to be really looking at, there's two things. So I was I was thinking about this, and I was like, Okay, this is how I do set up any any marketing outreach that we're doing, or any product that we're doing, I always start with the outcome that I want, or that I think that whoever I'm trying to create this for that they want, right? Like that's more important than what I want for them. Right?

So I think about like, what is the thing that they really want? And then how can I help them get to that point? You know, what are the things that are the most important? And so for this, it's obviously mean, let's, let's face it, like it's cash flow. So for most people, when they are doing a big promotion or a bunch of creation time, the goal is that you are bringing in more cash flow for your business. And that is smart. Like, it's not something to be ashamed of like that is what makes it a business, not a hobby. And so, okay, so for more cash flow, how do you get more cash flow. And so this is, you know, obviously a pretty

complex topic, there's a lot of things that go into it. But at the very forefront, the two things that you have to have to get more cash flow is that you have to have visibility, because if people don't know that this thing exists, they're not going to buy it, right. So you have to have visibility, and then you have to stay front of mind. Because especially if you kind of are following our relationship model where you don't use a lot of like high pressure tactics, people are typically, I mean, and this is really, to be honest, this is really true even for high pressure sales tactics. People typically don't buy the first time they see something, unless it's like, either really, really spot on and they just happened to be right in the mindset of, I need this thing. I need to buy it. Oh, look, this thing is perfect. Let me buy it. And it's the right price. And I have my wallet or has PayPal or what you know, like it's easy.

But generally, people need to be exposed to it a couple times, either because they got distracted, right? Like they're reading the sales page. And they're like, this sounds really awesome. Like, I'm totally want to sign up for it. Oh, like dinner's burning on the stove, or I need to jump onto a client meeting or whatever, I'll come back to this.

And the reality is, is in general, people don't come back to it unless it's again, just super super spot on, like your wig, kind of, they can't think of anything else. Because there's so excited about and that is that's where that the more cashflow like that's where it gets complicated because or not so much complicated, complex, right? Because there's things that you can do to optimize your product so that when people see it, they are like, this is so perfect for me. This is exactly what I need right now. And it's the right price point and all that stuff and I don't have any kind of

fusion about how it's being delivered. And it's very accessible to me.

Of course I'm going to buy right now, that is something that you can continue to do to optimize over time. But to start with the low hanging fruit is visibility and staying front of mind. So you're giving them multiple reminders about this thing that they're interested in. And I know for new, new business owners,

both of those things can be kind of tough, you know, visibility, talking about your thing can feel really uncomfortable. And then which comes down to, you know, money mindset and feeling uncomfortable asking for the for the purchase, and you know, all that goes on. And that's, that's a different topic, we're probably not going to really dive into that that much.

But it is something to be aware of, if you're feeling those things that that's totally normal. And it's just part of growing as a business owner is, is getting more comfortable and understanding. And so looking at resources around working on your money mindset is very important. And then the same, the other thing is the front of mine, which means that like, you are literally staying in front of mind that they that the people that you are serving, associate your name with how you help people and, and in specifically with cash flow that they associate this product, and that they know that it exists, and that they can buy it. And if there is any urgency around it like that is not going to be available after x date or whatever they are giving, they are getting plenty of opportunities to make that purchase before that time. And this is another place that people can get really uncomfortable.

Because it's like oh, well, I already told them once like I post them on Facebook, I already told them once I shouldn't send I shouldn't send anything else like everyone already knows. And this is the thing people don't. So even if they saw the Facebook post, they still likely got distracted, or need a little bit more information, they need more touch points, right. And then a lot of people won't have even seen that thing. Or if it's an email, like they might not have even seen that thing. If your open rate is it like between, which is a pretty good one like between like 30 and 50%. Like, that's still half of your list or more that did not see that email, right. So you really need to be giving multiple touch points about this product. So that's what we're really going to be going into

four main momentum inside of the collaborative is like talking about how to get more visible how to stay front of mind. And then I actually created a checklist which our amazing team member euro who is like a graphic wizard, she's actually working on a really pretty PDF, that is like God check like you could actually check it off inside of the PDF, or you can print it.

She's working on that. And it's going to be it has all of this steps to really feel like you have

put all of your put all of your potential effort and like muscle into maximizing your cash flow for you know, and our little beautiful little tagline is like maximizing your cash flow for a comfortable summer, right. But like,

it's just making sure that you're hitting all the touch points of not only visibility, but also just like giving people options to buy.

And so like we go into a little bit more depth about each of the things inside of the checklist with more resources, just to help you kind of like I have this product, or I have these products. And I know that I need to get visible, I know that I need to stay front of mind. Okay, what does that look like? Email social media, like, what am I sharing? How am I making sure that people are purchasing? Right? And then how am I saying friend of mine and following up with people that are hot leads? Like, that's all covered in the checklist. So we're going to be sharing that it probably it might happen today. I do have it written out and a click up doc. So I could share that. There's a few things that are on there that aren't quite ready for for public view, we have a knowledgebase article we need to write. I'm sharing all of the truth and transparency here. Because I want you to know that like every business has that right? Like you're the whole imperfect action, like you have all these things that you're doing. And there's always federally, but say you have to finish, right. So the goal here is that we are going to get that ready to share today or tomorrow. And then if that happens at the same time that the beautiful PDF is ready, we'll we'll just share that or we'll we'll start off with the cook up doc because it is the information is the important part right left, this shiny piece is really nice, but it's not the most important part. But even so, like even before we share the checklist, we're going to be like I said, showing up every day inside of the collaborative with opportunities for you to share what you're doing opportunities to connect with visibility partners, you know, people that you can team up with, that might want to you know, that are willing to share your product with their audience. If you share. There's

My goal here and this is what I was when I was mapping this all out, I was like, okay, like how to help people stay inspired, feel like they're educated and supported around visibility and stay in front of mind, and then giving them lots of opportunities to get that visibility. Because I know that that is from talking about it in the collaborative, up until today.

Because this is again, what I recommend everyone and I'm sorry if I'm sniffling, allergies, I love it. Like, I had several people from the last podcast episode that were like, Where do you live? You must live here, because the allergies are crazy. I'm like, Yeah, I think the allergies are crazy. A lot of places. So.

But yeah, and I totally, totally lost my train of thought there.

But you know, we are going to be doing those those share posts and everything so that people can get opportunities to connect. Oh, right, I said that we've been doing a lot of market research inside of the collaborative. So I highly recommend that with your people, is that you just have these open conversations like, Okay, this is the thing that I know that I'm going to be sharing with them coming up, right, whether it's paid or a free thing, where are they struggling with us? like where are they with us, so that you can make sure that you are still on point with what you are creating for them. And so I've been having a lot of conversations in the collaborative around like, Okay, are you creating a new product for me? Or are you working on selling or optimizing something that already exists? So that was like the first post, I did a ton of great feedback. And then the next one was like, okay, like, if you're, if you're working on a product, on a new product, like were, we're in this, and I did like three options like we're in this, are you? Or if you are, like optimizing or selling an existing product, like where are you right. And one of the consistent like threads, regardless of where people were, his visibility, they were really struggling with, like getting getting this thing visible. And so it was like, okay, like this is where we need to put a lot of our energy is on creating opportunities for you to connect with visibility partners, giving you opportunities to share your products, and what you're working on inside of the collaborative, which is a really active group. And so you get eyeballs there. And then in the checklists, giving you really good resources around like, here's how to show up on social media, here's how to engage with your email list, so that you don't really have to think about it, you just have to do it, right. So that is the goal with momentum. And it's also our very first month of doing automatic challenges, which means that like, literally all you have to do to earn account boost is just

basically, there's two categories. There's one which is working on your account, and there's a couple of different levels of account boots that you can unlock there. And so it's just just work on your account, like go in there, check and see if there's hot leads, go in there answer quiz questions. You know, look at your reports, work on optimizing a product, create new products, like, doesn't matter, like, work on your footers, like add your social media links, like add an announcement bar, like it doesn't matter as long as you're doing something inside of your account. And so you'll be able to earn account boost that way, and you'll get an email when you when you unlock one. So just know I'm not telling you which how many days you have to do on purpose, because I want you to just do the work and then know that at some point, you're going to get an email from us being like yay, like you unlocked your first one. And then the second category is getting your people to engage with your member vaults account. And so that means, again, doing all the things that we're already going to be talking about and encouraging for me, which is visibility in front of mind, you know, sharing your member vault on social media, sharing your products and everything, to your email list. All of those things. You know, getting, getting your people engaging with your content is really the name of the game there. And again, not going to give you the information on what level of EP your people earn, for the month of May, which which unlocks the first level. Because I want you to just focus on getting them to engage and know that you're going to get that that email being like yay, look, you guys for the first level.

So those are really excited. We're gonna be doing that every month. But this is the first month that we've actually turned those live. So it's very exciting. And, and just know that in the back end of MemberVault like we're saving, whether you were earned a Golden hamster, or a titanium hamster or you gotten the May active user challenge, and we have right now it's like bronze, silver gold, which is not terribly creative, but it was a start and perfect action. But we're saving all that information for you. Because in the future, we want to be able to have badges and have you see all the things that you've earned and I know some people, some people that doesn't really fire you up that fires me up. And that was a conversation

In the collaborative this weekend about badges and like wanting to do badges.

And so just know that that's something that we're going to be leaning into both for you to earn badges by using your account and, you know, doing challenges and all kinds of fun stuff like that. But then pretty much everything we do is with the intention of then rolling it out to our users, so that you can do it for, you know, for for your whole user base for all of your people. That's a really fun way to get them to engage. And then like for things like memberships, it's a really, really great way for retention. So just know that that's like something that's on our, on our radar, we're going to continue to move forward, and we are moving forward behind the scenes.

And I think that that's going to be a really cool, exciting thing that's going to be coming in the future. So I like to always drop those kind of like, know that that's our intention. And you can look forward to it. And for now, you can do what we're doing where for like the golden hamster.

You know, it's it's just like something you would set up inside of your

member vault actions where it's like, they complete a module or they complete a product. And they they earn something and it's triggers an email that's like, Yeah, you've got such and such boost, or not boost I'm sorry, badge, or award or whatever, right. And that has been received very, very positive. People love that.

And my five year old is hilariously, anytime we say golden hamster, he just like tackles. I was like that was a stroke, a stroke, a marketing thing. It's like it has a stickiness to it for sure. So you can think about like fun, fun awards that you can set up or badges and already set those up using MemberVault actions, but know that we are going to be refining that process even more so people can like, see what badges they've earned inside of the member vault and see what potential badges they can earn, because that's really powerful too. So that is definitely something that's a gamification thing that we for sure, are going to be putting energy into in the long in the long run, right. So I think that's pretty much that's good. That's a good start, for maybe momentum. And I will, the focus of all of the podcast episodes this month is definitely going to be run visibility in front of mind. But almost all of the
